Are compressed artwork files (JPG, GIF) OK to submit for custom printing?

We would be happy to take a look at any any all artwork files you can submit, but if you only have access to compressed images (jpg, gif) or images from the web then you need to specify use of our "Free Design Service." Compressed images are not "Ready To Print" file formats, so if that is the only file type you have then our designers will have to do some reconstructive work on them before sending them on to the printers. If your project requires use of an exact logo or artwork, please submit them in a "Ready To Print" format.

Will I be able to see a sample of my custom packaging before it goes to print?

For most small runs of custom packaging, we are not able to provide a printed sample on your packaging before it prints. However, we will be able to show you a stock sample of the product, a sample of the printed color(s) you have chosen, and exact-to-size printed layouts of what your artwork will look like on the product. For larger completely custom runs or custom colors, we will additionally be able to show you ink draw-downs of the color(s).

Can I specify use of a custom color for smaller runs of hot-stamped or post-printed products?

The most economical way to hot-stamp or post-print onto stock items is to use Stock Print Colors. However, if there isn't a color that you like or you require a specific match, we can use a PMS # for an additional charge.

How long does it take to receive my custom packaging?

Production time varies greatly by the product, by the level of customization you have chosen, and by the time of year. Our product specialists will be able to give you an accurate timeframe once you have decided on a project, and a reasonable estimate of when to expect delivery once it has gone into production (after your final approval).

I can't decide on what type of packaging I need. Will you be able to send/show me samples of several different options?

Of course! Sometimes it's hard to pick out exactly what you want from a picture in a catalog. We would be happy to show you real product samples of whatever you are considering, and provide you with different quotes so you can compare pricing.
